The Ada River Rally was organised by the Western District Car Club and was held on May 27. It was originally calendared for April.

The event was conducted in the forests generally north of Powelltown. The VRC event was pace noted with recce on the Saturday. The Clerk of Course was Brett Ross.
The VRC event was convincingly won by Warren Lee and David Lethlean in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX.
Winners of the VRCS round were Colin Sichlau and Greg Hilton in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV RS,
